New Paper on Rodent and Shrews of Agroecosystems in Ethiopian Highlands
15-02-2022
Dr. Meheretu Yonas and MetaMeta colleagues recently published an important paper on the rodent populations and biodiversity in the context of the Ethiopian’s highlands. Using a novel technique of camera traps, the authors recorded six rodent species, some of which are rare and difficult to capture with conventional traps. The findings call for rigorous biodiversity studies and conservation measures in agroecosystems in the Ethiopian highlands to avert further losses in biodiversity and ecosystem services.
